As part of the Agreement on Education Cooperation between Cukurova University (Adana, Turkey) and Makerere University (Kampala, Uganda), two (2) Professors from Turkey will give lectures on “General Aspect of Rural Development” and “Irrigation Science and Technology” from 7th to 11th February 2022 at the School of Food Technology, Nutrition and Bio-Engineering Conference Room at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. About 30 places are available for physical attendance to these lectures and a link will be sent to the rest of the participants. A certificate of attendance will be issued to those participants who attend 80% of the lectures on either topic. If you wish to attend, kindly notify Dr Nicholas Kiggundu so that he either reserves a space for you or sends you the link.

Admission to the training

  1. For admission to the General Aspect of Rural Development, applicants should possess an honors first degree any of the following qualification: Agricultural Extension Education, Agricultural and Rural Innovation, Arts in Environmental Management, Science in Agriculture or the equivalent of any of the above from a recognized University.
  2. For admission to the Irrigation Science and Technology, applicants should possess an honors first degree any of the following qualification: Agricultural Engineering, Water Engineering; Civil Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Process Engineering or any other branches of engineering or the equivalent of any of the above from a recognized University.
