MUJAES is a peer-reviewed journal that disseminates research findings in key areas covering agricultural, food, forestry, and environmental sciences. MUJAES publishes 2 issues per year. The Journal started as a Bulletin of Makerere University Agricultural Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK) in 1997, with focus on informing the general public on research progress and outreach of Makerere University. This was later renamed as the Makerere University Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in 2017.
