George Odera-Outa is an Associate Professor at TUK, a proponent of inter and multidisciplinary research perspectives; previously at ICCA (University of Nairobi). Law graduate of the University of London (UK) and the University of California-Hastings (USA); previously a ‘Tothil Prestige Scholar’ at the University of the Witwatersrand, (South Africa). Recipient of various prestigious awards: the St Andrews (UK) Prize for the Environment (2001) and the Governance in East Africa Research Awards (1993). Co-investigator (with ARUA-CD) in, ‘Transforming Social Inequalities Through Inclusive Climate Action (TSITICA). Extensive ‘non-academy’ experience under UNDP and government modalities. Affiliated researcher at Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) with whom the baseline work on ‘Science, Research and Innovation for Harnessing the Blue Economy ( 2021) has been published.
