MAK trains 14 Pig Artificial Insemination (AI) technicians under the DIVERE PIG project: Three (3) of the trainees are from Rwanda

Participants went through both theoretical and practical aspects of Pig Artificial Insemination

Makerere University’s Department of Agricultural Production has trained 14 pig AI technicians under the project titled, “Improving pig productivity: Diversifying piglet nutrition options and upscaling Artificial Insemination in Uganda (DIVERSE-PIG) . Three (3) of the trainees came from Rwanda.

Mak holds meeting to validate University - Industry stakeholder engagement guidelines under the PASUFONS project funded by EU-ACP EDULINK II Program

Makerere University has held a consultative meeting to validate the proposed methodologies for university-industry interaction. The meeting was held on 29th April, 2016, at Royal Suites Hotel, Bugolobi in Kampala Uganda.

Makerere University in partnership with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and Stellenbosch University received a grant from EU-ACP EDULINK II program to implement a project titled “Partnerships to strengthen university food and Nutrition sciences training and research in Eastern and Southern Africa” (PASUFONS).

The Department of Geography, Geo informatics and Climatic Sciences (GGCS) has donated and installed an automated Weather station at the Makerere University Agricultural Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK).
