The Australian Government is offering 20 PhD scholarships to candidates from eligible African countries.

The Australian Government is offering 20 PhD scholarships to candidates from eligible African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Gambia and Uganda) for agriculture-related studies at universities in Australia commencing in 2013.

The research topics should demonstrate a contribution to improving food security through increasing agricultural productivity, improving rural livelihoods through functioning of markets and trade, and/or building the resilience of communities most vulnerable to food insecurity.
